Tips for Designing Girl Scout Patches
Theme
This is the most important piece of the puzzle. What is the patch for? A campout? A holiday? A dance? Think about the first thing that comes to mind and start with that.
Contest
Have your scouts draw some designs! Then everyone can decide which one(s) is the best.
• Give them a template. Basic shapes work best.
• Keep it bold and simple. Most GS patches are between 2-3” overall.

Don’t have a lot of time? See what you can find online. There are thousands of ideas out there. Maybe you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for or something close.
