Tips for Designing Girl Scout Patches
This is the most important piece of the puzzle. What is the patch for? A campout? A holiday? A dance? Think about the first thing that comes to mind and start with that.
Have your scouts draw some designs! Then everyone can decide which one(s) is the best.
• Give them a template. Basic shapes work best.
• Keep it bold and simple. Most GS patches are between 2-3” overall.
Don’t have a lot of time? See what you can find online. There are thousands of ideas out there. Maybe you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for or something close.
There is always the option to send a description of what it is you are looking for. It can be the general idea or a detailed outline. We can make up a mockup and go from there.
